GFFMC RX-78-02 Gundam (40th Anniversary Ver.) Metal Composite

The die-cast metal joints give it a satisfying heft that plastic figures just can't match, and the 40th anniversary color scheme pops beautifully under display lighting. I've handled a lot of Gundam figures over the years, but this one feels like a true centerpiece piece.

The Katoki-supervised proportions are spot-on, and the new color separation makes the panel lines pop even under my desk lamp. It’s heavy in the hand like a proper Metal Composite should be, and the joints feel solid enough to pose without worrying about it flopping over.

The metallic paint on this one is incredible in person, and the joint articulation feels solid without being stiff. Katoki's redesign gives it a sharper, more modern silhouette while still hitting that classic Gundam look.
