BMC Danmo is a tool that cuts the edge of parts at right angles to make a stepped mold. The material of the cutting edge is the same as that of BMC, and because it is tungsten, it has high durability and high accuracy. Until now, I have made hard work using the jig while using the down mold, but I designed it with the concept that it can be cleaned as easily as possible.

The tungsten cutting edge held up through a full day of trimming stepped molds without needing a swap, which is more than I can say for my old chisels. The right-angle cuts came out clean right from the start. Solid tool for the price.

Cutting edge is tungsten so it’s definitely tough, but I’m not sure the right-angle step is perfectly crisp on every pass, takes a bit of fiddling to get the mold line clean. Works okay for what it is, just don’t expect it to be magic on harder materials.
