From the OVA "Macross Plus," the fighter form of "YF-19" has been made into a kit with a completely new mold! The unique airframe form of the forward-swept wing has been three-dimensionalized while incorporating Hasegawa's unique aircraft expression. The parts configuration is relatively simple, and each part is designed to be assembled after assembling each block and painting. The cockpit is a selection formula of single-seat / double seat. The canopy can be opened or closed, a seated pilot figure is included, and the vector nozzle is movable! Scale: 1/72 *Paint and glue are required for completion.

Panel lines on this thing are crisp enough that a light wash brings them right out, no scribing needed. Fit on the forward-swept wing assembly was tight in a good way, barely any seam to fix. Best fighter-mode build I've done in this scale.

The forward-swept wings are molded sharp and thin, way better than the chunky look on my old copy. Panel lines on the fuselage are crisp enough that a light wash does all the work. Fit is tight too, barely any putty needed on the seams.

Wasn't sure a new mold would really make a difference until I snapped the fuselage together, and the panel lines came out crisp with almost no seam cleanup. In fighter mode it sits solid on the gear, and the forward-swept wings line up dead straight.
