The VF-0S Phoenix piloted by a young Roy Focker in the 2002 OVA "Macross Zero" finally joins the Hi-Metal R lineup from Bandai! It can be transformed into all three forms -- Battroid, Gerwalk and Fighter -- and it's equipped with fast packs and air-to-air missiles on its legs! The primary wing in Battroid form can be replaced with a smaller one; the pitot tube on the nose of its Fighter form is replaceable, and the fast packs on the Gerwalk legs can be removed! A gun pod is included, and the main wing can be equipped with air-to-air missiles. Two types of head laser machine guns can be chosen and equipped -- a CG version and an original version. A special base bearing Roy Focker's personal mark and a pilot figure are also included! Zoe U. ★★★★★

The wing markings and panel lines are crisp as hell out of the box, and the Battroid mode feels rock-solid in hand. Took me a good fifteen minutes to fiddle it through Gerwalk, but the articulation is a blast once you get the hang of it.

Eva E. ★★★★★

The transformation into all three forms is surprisingly smooth for such a complex figure, and the Battroid mode looks fantastic on the shelf. The paint on Roy Focker’s unit has that crisp, clean finish you’d hope for from a Hi-Metal R release.

Abigail P. ★★★★★

Took me a few tries to get the transformation right, but once I did, the click of the joints locking into Battroid feels incredibly solid. The sculpt detail on the cockpit and the VF-0S's unique head design really pops on the shelf.
