The Spartan Shield actually fits into his grip without any forcing, and the whole kit holds poses really well once you've got the joints tightened. Took me an evening to build and it's been sitting on my shelf in a dynamic stance ever since.

The Mining Hammer is impressively huge and the shield mounts securely, though I was hoping the assembly would be a bit more straightforward. The posability is solid once you get the joints worked in, but the whole thing feels lighter than I expected for its size.
