Aurora Y. ★★★★★ Oct 22, 2026

The transformation between knight and dragon modes feels incredibly smooth for a kit with this much shiny plating, and the gold really pops under direct light. I've built a lot of SDs, but the 400th anniversary treatment makes this one stand out on the shelf.

The electroplated gold finish is even shinier in person than in the photos, catching the light beautifully on my shelf. Swapping between the knight and dragon modes is surprisingly smooth and satisfying for such a detailed model.

The transformation between knight and dragon modes is surprisingly smooth for a kit this ornate, and the electroplated gold really catches the light from every angle. It's a showpiece on my shelf, plain and simple.
